Turkey Day

Well I, for one, had an excellent Thanksgiving.

I know I was very resistant to going to Tom’s-but it was great. We hung out, watched the game, had an AWESOME dinner prepared by Jen, and played games-virtually what I would have done if I had been with my family (sans the wonderful love and light I get from 2 little boys). I, of course, won the game we played-twice. It’s funny-I am not really a competitive person, but when it comes to board games-I HAVE to win (ego, ego, ego). Either way-it was a blast.

“The concept of soul mates does not refer only to marriage. The concept of soul mates also applies to relationships with friends, business colleagues, and partners in every sort of shared endeavor.”

-Yehuda Berg
It’s so weird. Tom and I are like the same person. We make the same jokes, we have the same work ethic, we come up with the same answers to questions. I have always known there was something special there, but yesterday just reaffirmed that. It’s crazy. I am so blessed that we were brought together. Often times, someone you are so similar too cause heads to butt. But not he and I. Again-I love it.
I did miss my family, though. I had fun, but I wish I was with them. At the same time-I think I had fun, because I know I will see my family soon. If I wasn’t going home for X-mas, I think yesterday would have been sad and painful. THANK YOU DAWN FOR MAKING X-MAS POSSIBLE!! I don’t have to say it, but since I was talking about soul mates-Dawn is definitely one of mine. Wow. So many things in my life to be thankful for. I need to work hard on myself to make sure I continue to plant seeds so that my future as just as beautiful as my present is.
Quote of the day:
“Can you just hand me the bottle, cause these lame ass drinks you keep making ain’t gettin’ me off”
