Hello TNT

Christ on the Lou! Is there EVER a time without Drama!?!?!?

For those of you NOT logged on to GNN this afternoon, let me give you the lowdown:

Ed was supposed to leave today. Now-I love Ed. But let me remind you that I am used to living ALONE. NOT used to having a 14 year old around me 24/7. I was going crazy.

In any case, we get to the airport, wait in line. . .etc. Well, the BITCH (i.e. check-in lady) at the counter informs us that Ed, being 14, CAN NOT TRAVEL ALONE!! Um. . .then why the fuck did you sell us the ticket in the first place!?!?!? They asked for his age when we bought the damn ticket. But apparently America West (THE WORST AIRLINE EVER) has a policy that unaccompanied minors can not travel alone if they are switching planes.

Now, if the lady would have been nice-maybe offered a few suggestions, maybe tried to help us figure something out-I wouldn’t have been so mad. But she was SUCH A BITCH. She grabbed our information and without telling us or explaining anything she refunded the ticket. Then she hands me our confirmation page and says “I refunded the ticket”. I was like. . .um hello! What the hell am I supposed to do now?!!?!? All I know is I wrote down her name and I will do my best to make sure SHE GETS FIRED.

Of course. . .what now? I was so dumbfounded by the BITCH and the situation, that I just had to sit down to clear my head. Finally, I called my mother, who just said-well find out if any airlines have any flights today. So, we went over to good ‘ole Southwest, saw a direct flight to Albuquerque that left about an hour after Ed’s original flight, and landed about an hour earlier. It cost about a hundred more. . .but, there wasn’t much else we could do.

Of course, not more than an hour later, the news had traveled via GNN and Joe called us. And, of course, the story was a bit marced. But what else can you expect?

Now, I am at home, blissfully alone. Here are a few pics from Ed’s visit:
