So when Dawn was here, we talked a lot about some of the things I want. One of those things was a website. Not just my blog-I have that, but a website. This would include my blog, my “Ask Jeni” (because I am awesome at giving at advice), my “Jeni Says” (because I pretty much know every cool thing that exists) and other stuff, such as music, movies, books and maybe even a special “baking” section (ahem, Dawn). I’m not sure if it is the sort of venture that would make money (I mean, just having a public blog would be a big step for me), but it is definitely something I would have a blast doing. One of the things I have always wanted to learn is web design. I can’t really take a class right now, but after some thought, I figured I could take baby steps. First step? Move my blog to it’s own domain.
That’s going to take some work.
Since Chickie recently moved to her own domain AND she is one of the handful of people in this world I like AND her blog is hilarious AND she is nice (i.e. I can take advantage of her), I will be emailing her many questions as I work to move this blog over to jeniangel.com (that just currently forwards to my twitter page). It will be weird to take the blog public again, but as I understand it, word press allows you to make posts private, so I am certain I will have to go through the ‘ole archives and make some posts private. It is also very likely that future posts will end up private. But since you folks are the few I trust and feel comfortable with, I am CERTAIN you will get a password. Because I know how lost you would be without reading my blog vomit and emotional meltdowns. I wouldn’t want to take anything away from you.
Therefore, I may not be posting for a couple of weeks. This weekend is shot, work wise, since my cousins are coming to visit (and I may be getting a new tattoo!!). Hopefully next week/next weekend I can work through hosting and moving and template design. I am nothing, if not a perfectionist and it will take me a bit to make the new space perfect.
Thoughts? Honest feedback on this whole crazy scheme is appreciated. Please note, however, at this point, my fragile ego needs a lot of validation.
Random pic:

Ok, first, I LOVE that pic! LOL! You should totally print that out and have it framed if you haven’t already.
The website, I love that idea, it’s not a crazy one at all. I bet it WOULD be a lot of fun to do. I BETTER get a password! I hope you add (and continue to contribute to) your Jeni Reads section…it’s great to feel like reading, wondering what to read, just check out your section and pick a book. I’ve never gotten a bad choice, and with so much that you read, girl you can fill that section up quite nicely.
Look, whenever I wonder about stuff, I’ll google the review, find some random site/blog and get a good opinion. Then I’m glad some random person decided to write about it. So, go forward!
The only thing I don’t like is that you won’t be posting for a couple of weeks!?!?!?! After you started back up fairly regularly??
Sigh, the things I have do deal with.
