Reading Rainbow

This weekend, I made two big changes.

To my appearance.

Bangs.

And tattoos.

I know, life changing. I have been thinking about the bangs for awhile. I decided to move forward with the idea of dying my hair back to it’s original color. I am going to take a break for a few months and see if I become inspired. The bangs will allow me to look like I have some sort of look, without too much work. UGH! My under eye bags make me look haggard!

Now, the tattoo. . .that I have been thinking about since I got my last tattoo. I also got my last tattoo touched up, as well as the yellow star on my wrist. For no other reason than my narcissism, here is the collection of my tattoos, in the order I got them:

I got this for my 21st birthday. I still totally love it, but kind of hate it because I can’t see it.
This looks like one tattoo, but I got them at separate times. I got the blue star right before moving here to Seattle. Right after, I went to stay with my sister. Matthew was so enamored with it and it became his. He always asks to see it. I added the yellow star for Michael and whenever I see them throughout the day, the stars remind me of my nephews, who are my shining stars.
Dawn and I got this Celtic knot the first time she came to visit me in Seattle. She has it on her right shoulder, mine is my right ankle. It means sisterly love.
Louisa, Heidi and I got this almost 2 years ago. We all got the same one. It means girl, but I get a kick out of making up meanings for people who ask.

And finally. . . .the new tattoo:

I LOVE it. There is no special meaning, but I think it just looks awesome. I can’t wait for it to heal and it to look awesome in summer sandals. I also enjoy how excited I feel about it. So fun!

Pokes on: "Reading Rainbow" (2)

  1. I love it! How fun! I like your hair too! Yay! Change! New stuff! :D

  2. The hair looks great! I had to scroll around to see what it used to look like. And the new feet are awesome.

Thank you for explaining your star tattoos on your wrist. I had wondered about their meaning.
