I have never been the kind of person who would censor her blog (hell, I am not the kind of person to censor 99% of what comes out of my mouth), however recent events have me reticent to write here. And not because anyone in my life has asked me not to. I just feel that I am spectator on a journey and that I have actually learned a thing or two in the past 2 years. Sometimes, it’s better to keep your big mouth shut.

So. Besides all that, my sister and I had an AWESOME visit. Seriously, we had a great time. We spent a day lazing about and watching Charmed. We had a sibling dinner. We had serious talks and ridiculous antics. We saw a 1/4 of a concert and got lost driving to Ballard. We had our Astrological charts read (seriously, folks, Rene is AWESOME) and we visited Dale at Skin and Soul to get 3 new tattoos each:

Angelic Symbol for Truth (located on the back of my left arm, directly above the elbow)

Angelic Symbol for Honesty (located on the back of my right arm, directly above the elbow)

Dawn got an Elephant (located on her right shoulder)

This is her reminder to always address the elephant in the room and to always eat your elephant one bite at a time. I LOVE the way her elephant turned out. LOVE

Dawn also got this Sun and Moon with the initials of the boys, along with a teeny tiny puzzle piece (which is for Autism Awareness). (located on her upper, left hand shoulder blade).

We both also got a small evil eye on our left wrist (for some reason, I have no pics). A great reminder not to judge others (aka giving them the evil eye).

Honestly, it was wonderful to be out of work for 6 days in a row, surrounded by the people I love most.

Alas, now it is back to work and my busy schedule. On top, of which, I need to really buckle down and focus on my Life and Health test. I need to just get it over with because then I will be done with tests for a long, long time.

I knew it before I got there . . . and I was right.

I was in trouble at Therapy tonight. Mostly, because I did exactly what Wendy asked me not to do.

I am a glutton for punishment.

I am sooooooooooooooo tired lately. It’s almost impossible to sleep. It. is. too. fucking. hot. I need a fan, but it seems like a waste, considering I am about to move to a place with A/C.

Tonight I read THIS article in Rolling Stone about Autism. Now, previously, I held the stance that mercury in vaccines was not exactly the cause of Autism, but it had something to do with it. From the people I had spoken with and articles I had read, my thought was that there was some sort of DNA involved that if a person had this particular combination of DNA, mixed with the exposure to the mercury-you got Autism. However, this article was very persuasive. And I wouldn’t put it past our government for this to be true. While I find it hard jump completely on the band wagon after reading only one article, it IS something I am very interested in finding out more about. This OUR life we are talking about. Matthew’s life is my life. Dawn’s life is my life. Michael’s life is my life. We deserve to know how this happened. But even more than that-If what this article says is correct (you should really read it now!)-I am not as focused on who and what is to blame-what I want to know is how they are going to fix it-and fix it fast.

OK . . .I have more things swirling in my head, but at this time, I think it would be best for me to lay down and not sleep.

Nothing exciting has happened in my life. I am sorry Dawn.

Well-I guess I take that back-I got my NAAR shirt this week!! THAT was way rockstar. It’s exactly what I wanted. Just because some people may not know how to spell their own son’s name. Just kidding Doug-don’t fire Keiko. In any case, the shirt was awesome-PLUS I got a Valentine from my Matthew (who could want a better Valentine??) AND the piece for wireless internet. Dawn ROCKS.

Nikkie had a crappy week at work-she found out she was being transferred to another store. I, of course, went into “let’s find you another job” mode. I am working on her resume. I think I should become a professional Head Hunter. How do you become that?? All I know, is everyone comes to me when they want to quit-and need help finding another job. And everyone comes to me when they are looking for someone to work for them. Seriously. At least once a week, I spend time trying to find someone a job/employee. Hmmmm. . . .

I found out Tim has an unknown Kelly Clarkson secret shame. He asked me who sings “Breakaway” and “Since you’ve been gone”. He was horrified to find out the answer. Even MORE horrified to find out Avril Lavigne wrote “Breakaway”. Sad times for Tim. If you know how important music is to Tim, then you know how sad he is.

Sorry I have nothing better to blog about.

So . . .I feel as though I haven’t been very good with this blog lately. I hardly ever write entries and when I do, it’s either one or two sentences with a link. (Besides yesterday’s rant about what a horrible day it was. For the record-today is 2 MILLION times better).

Last night we had our NAAR meeting. . .which HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE TALKING TO DAMN MUCH ABOUT NOTHING?? Seriously-Our meetings could be done in about 45 minutes, if we stuck to the agenda and didn’t go off on tangents like “Why Mapquest sucks”. Which BTW-has been an invaluable resource to me since I moved here-and I do not think it sucks-BUT I didn’t SHARE that opinion last night because that opinion has nothing to do with me raising 300k to help cure the LOVE OF MY LIFE of Autism. Period. Shut the fuck up.

(BTW-That rant just helped my good mood even more)

I got to talk to Joe and Nikkie for 2 seconds today-from Vegas. I ROCK. They called ME from Vegas. Why? To settle a bet. Joe always calls me to settle his bets-and I always help him win. Not because of any pre-determined code, it’s just that he is always right. Of course, now that I said that, poor boy, next time he calls I may have jinxed him and he’ll be wrong.

So let’s talk about Shaun. Shaun, Shaun, Shaun. Love Shaun-he’s a great guy. But I don’t know what’s up with him. Why does he have this interest in me again? Why does he call-a lot? So many whys. . .

Ok. . .all I got for now. . .Dawn check your email for confessions. . .

I hate everyone, I hate everything, I hate.

If that’s not fun enough, I get to stay here at work tonight. Until about 8 or 9. GREAT. You know, people always slack off and don’t come to these NAAR meetings, but I can never do that. The one night I’d like to NOT go, to go home and just be a bitch, I CAN’T. Why you ask? Because, of course, every damn meeting is at my damn office. Fuck.

I think the worst of it is, I feel like such a girl. I hate that feeling.

We had our HOLIDAY party at work on Friday-I got way drunk. I also got the Best Present EVER!! We did a White Elephant gift exchange. . .and the Jim got me. . .and he got me a big carboard cut out of. . . .SPIDERMAN!!! Oh. My. God. Becky. It is the most rockstar present. It’s huge and so fucking cool. It is in my living room now. . .I want to make love to it. . .it is so awesome.

Ah. OK. Time to calm down. My silly pa gets into town today. I am pretty excited. I think I need the distraction.

OK-I finally got to watch Saved! I LOVED it. It is soooooooo good. And can I say, without shame, that I love Mandy Moore. I know it’s unlike me, but I love her acting and I love her voice-and so what if she used to be a teenybopper. I am a huge fan. I am also a huge fan of Macaulay Culkin-not only is he awesome in this movie, but he supports Autism (because when he was on Celebrity Poker he was playing for the Autism Coalition). So he is my new favorite movie star.

Woo Hoo!

For my Thanksgiving celebration tomorrow (at ye olde Boss’s house) I have prepared Jeni and Dawn’s famous artichoke dip (complete with homemade chips AND sourdough bread), yummy caramel and chocolate chip cookies and Grey Goose Vodka (ok, so I didn’t actually make that-sue me). I am excited. I think it should be fun.

Today was excitement Dawn/disappointment mail. Dawn sent me some WAY cool presents in the mail. That girl is always sending me the best stuff. HOWEVER-my Autism Awareness Ribbon Magnets STILL aren’t here. WTF???? I ordered BEFORE Dawn. I ordered LESS that Dawn. Yet, she got hers Monday and me-nothing. SAD TIMES.

But, I did get good news. . .I was accepted for the Kabbalah Virtual Group. I am so excited. I feel like I can’t get enough information. It’s so exciting. It’s wonderful to feel this. I know it’s only been a month, but the change. I feel it. And every time I learn something new, I can feel the connection being made.

I have made the decision to not go to church Christmas eve. It’s not that I don’t believe in God-I just believe in him differently. And I don’t feel like going to Church and listening to something that is being misinterpreted. I feel like it would be more beneficial to me to stay home and meditate on my own. My mother won’t like this. I am hoping I can make her understand.

Every time we have a meeting-I feel alive, I feel meaningful, purposeful. I feel like I can change the world. I feel like I can change Matthew’s world. I can change Dawn’s world. I can change Michael’s world. I can change my world.

Bought the book: The 72 Names of God. I haven’t really gotten to read it, yet. That’s the plan for tonight.

WARNING: Do NOT try the Gingerbread Latte. GROSS. . .one sip and I threw it away. I THREW AWAY COFFEE!!

Today was supposed to be a good day.

I made all these plans because everyone was going to be at Michael’s party-that is everyone but me. So I made all these plans to keep me busy and distracted so I wouldn’t have to be sad.

And the day started off good. I woke up early so that I can do my errands and chores before my haircut, because I had made enchiladas the night before for a friend. So, the plan was that we were going to hang out right after my haircut, thus me waking up early to get all my shit done before. So, I went to Target (no really, I went to Target-the store) and I got a bunch of blah blah blah stuff-you know-necessities. I also got asked out to lunch by a super HoTT guy. Seriously. And what did I say? Thanks, but no Thanks. (no, please, no need to point out my sick, masochistic stupidity-I know)

So then I go to the mall. I am looking for shoes and “earrings”. No shoes, but I found the rings. So I was pleased. Then I was right on time for my haircut. THANK GOD. It’s been over 6 months since I got my hair cut. The last time was the day after my last day at the other office. i.e AGES AGO.

After my haircut, I rush home, so I can change the litter, take out the trash and get the enchiladas started baking. (you know, the enchiladas I spent 2 hours preparing the night before) But, when I get home, there is a message. “I’m not coming over” Not only that, but because of the reason, I know he knew the night before-but didn’t bother to tell me. So the whole waking up early, wasting my time making enchiladas thing-for no reason and could have been prevented. FUCK YOU.

So I am at home. With more enchiladas than one person can even consider eating, no lunch plans with HoTT Target boy, and thinking about everyone going to Dawn’s. Except me.

But I did get George Strait’s 50 #1s CD, so I am happy about that. It’s beyond excellent. I am beyond stupid, but the CD is good.

I rented The United States of Leland this weekend. I loved it. Well, kind of. The only reason I had wanted to see it was because all the reviews said that an Autistic child was killed in this movie. Now, before you get all up in arms-my reasoning for wanting to see it was I wanted to see how the child was portrayed. Anything I can find on Autism is always something I will look at-whether it seems good or bad. At any rate-whether the child in this movie is Autistic or not was never said. In fact, all the called him was the “retarded kid”. This all is not the point. It was a good movie. There were certain lines in the movie that chilled me-for multiple reasons.

“I’m sorry, ‘Mad” requires me to actually care about you-think again”
